Ben Harrison is a playwright, lyricist, composer, writer, and entertainer. At his core, he is a bar-room singer/songwriter who manages to blend history, musical theater, Key West culture, and humor into unusual stories that are mostly true.

In 2026, he will play a six-show concert series at the Key West Theater’s Listening Room. Performances are set for January 8 and 21, February 5 and 17, and March 5 and 25. Ben has also recently rereleased his first novel, Charlie Jones

Ben has been a guest on The Howard Stern Show, This American Life, Dr. Demento, The Dick Cavett Show, and more. Winner of the Adeline Turner Award for Outstanding Performing Artist, Ben has recorded ten studio albums and four full-length theater musicals: Undying Love, Key West! A Musical Tour About Town, Clouds Over the Sunshine Inn, and El Isleño: The Untold Key West Story. He is also the author of four books: Undying Love, Official Visit, Sailing Down The Mountain, and Charlie Jones.

Ben and his wife, sculptor Helen Harrison, live in Key West, Florida, where they opened Harrison Gallery in 1986.
